Thurday, I will be driving to Denver with my grandmother to join the rest of my family in mourning. There are things in this life that we will never understand, but have to trust in the Lord that he has a plan for our lives and that he will take our suffering and turn it into good no matter the pain.
This Friday morning we will be attending a funeral service for a baby boy. My very close cousin Treasure, who was due June 10th, lost her unborn child from unexplained reasons. Apparently this happens to 1 in 500 mothers. She had a little fall a couple of days before. The Doctors said her and the baby were fine and there was no need for concern. They had to induce her on Sunday evening and she finally gave birth Monday at 9am to a lifeless baby boy.
I can't even begin to imagine her pain right now or try and understand how someone could remain sane at this point. If you read this blog I ask that you pray for her and her family for strength more then anything and mental healing.

Color Me Happy Photoshoot
It was another gorgeous day to be out taking pictures. I had my second company photoshoot and it went remarkably well. Color Me Happy Boutique, the store I share my studio with, will have their very own website up and running very soon. We currently have an online store and are advertising through myspace. Here are a few of the photos taken today.

This Dumb Bird
Every day this Bird perches on the tree outside my studio. As I sit inside waiting for my customers; about every 2 minutes I hear a rap against the window. I look up to see where the noise is coming from and it is this silly Robin flying headlong into the window. He flies back to a limb, turns around, stares at his reflection and tries not once or twice again, but every two to five minutes continuously each and every day for more than a week.

Inspiration
Recently, in discussing with my cousin Bryan, owner of Bode Industries, I found out some pretty interesting stuff in the world of photography.
Could you imagine making $50000 a DAY? Yep, I got my zeros correct. That is what the following photographers charge. Bryan has a close friend in the marketing business that had to find photographers for a KFC ad and that is the going rate these days. WOW!!!
dougrosa.com
jimerickson.com
musilek.com
On another note, I was recently introduced to an awesome site for all those friends and family that are in to photography too. I browse photography sites all the time to get new ideas and inspiration. A new photographer friend of mine just introduced me to this site which some of you may already know of. http://www.deviantart.com/ It's worth looking into.

Opinion Anyone!
Okay, I did a senior photo shoot the other day and took tons of fabulous pics. We wanted this particular senior to have pics with his car. We took some very awesome shots, but there was one imparticular where the background just wasnt' so pretty. There were trees with no leaves and it was very cloudy and gray all day. So I thought I would get creative and give him one just for the hell of it. But I am trying to decide if I think it is cool or just plain goofy.. so pass me your opinions please.
